Dan Barry
He has received dozens of honors, distinctions and awards for his many important achievements in various disciplines.
A physician, medical researcher, engineer, electrical engineer and expert in computer science and professor and inventor. He has five patents, more than 50 articles in scientific journals and is an astronaut veteran of three space flights in the Space Shuttle Endeavor (in 1996) and Discovery (in 1999 and 2001). Dr. Barry has logged over 734 hours in space, including four spacewalks totaling 26 hours and completed 481 orbits of the Earth. Dr. Barry retired from NASA in April 2005 to start his own company "Denber Robotics", which currently builds robots.
Dr. Dan Barry is currently the Head of the School of Singularity University, where he co-chairs and directs the course of Artificial Intelligence and Robotics.
